At Alice, we don’t take complex challenges at face value. Where others see separate problems, we look for the connections underneath.
As bioscience engineers with years of experience in innovation, food and societal challenges, we bring science, businesses, citizens and other stakeholders around the same table. We look beyond what is technically possible to understand the people, behaviours and systems that ultimately determine whether an innovation will work in the real world.
That means questioning assumptions, looking beneath the surface and digging deeper into what is really going on.

By connecting the dots, we help organisations turn complexity into solutions that are not only innovative, but also relevant, meaningful and workable in practice.

Because real innovation starts with real conversations.

Bringing people together and creating new possibilities where others see obstacles: that’s what gives Veerle energy.

A natural reframer, she instinctively looks at challenges from a different angle. She believes that every obstacle also holds an opportunity, if you bring the right people together and create the space for new perspectives to emerge.

Her optimism is contagious, but always grounded in a pragmatic approach. Less talking about change, more figuring out what can actually be done and what first step can be taken today.

With a background in bioscience engineering and years of experience in innovation, strategy and business development, she feels equally at home in the boardroom and in a workshop with consumers, researchers or entrepreneurs.
For Veerle, innovation doesn’t start with technology. It starts with people.
